Convention/Business/Conference/Seminar Leave. If an employee is elected or appointed as an official delegate to attend conventions, business meetings, conferences or seminars in connection with the affairs of the Union, said employee shall with due regard for the staff requirements of the Company, on giving the Company at least 5 days notice, be granted leave of absence without pay, to attend such conventions, meetings, courses, conferences or seminars. The Company reserves the right to limit the number of delegates who may be away at any one time to one employee.

  • Conference Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of an invitation, an employee shall be granted leave paid at full salary of up to two thirty-fifths of her Appointment Contract(s) to present papers at academic conferences. Such leave shall not be claimed if an authorized exchange of services agreeable to the employee can be arranged.

  • School Conference and Activities Leave Leaves of absence without pay of up to a total of sixteen (16) hours during any twelve (12) month period for the purpose of attending school, pre-school or child care provider conferences and classroom activities of the employee's child, provided that such conferences and classroom activities cannot be scheduled during non-work hours. When the need for the leave is foreseeable, the employee shall provide reasonable prior notice of the leave to their immediate supervisor and shall make a reasonable effort to schedule the leave so as not to disrupt the operations of the Employer. Employees may use accumulated vacation benefits or accumulated compensatory time for the duration of such leaves.

  • Labor Management Conferences The Union and the Employer mutually agree that in the interest of efficient management and harmonious employee relations, meetings shall be held between Union and Employer representatives when appropriate. Such meetings shall be scheduled within one week of either party submitting an agenda to the other, or at a time mutually agreed upon by the parties, and shall be limited to:

In pursuit of the objectives in Article 149 (Objectives), the Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities, including, but not limited to: (a) encouraging dialogue on Traditional Medicine policies and promotion of respective Traditional Medicine; (b) raising awareness of active effects of Traditional Medicine; (c) encouraging exchange of experience in conservation and restoration of Traditional Medicine; (d) encouraging exchange of experience on management, research and development for Traditional Medicine; (e) encouraging cooperation in the Traditional Medicine education field, mainly through training programs and means of communication; (f) having a consultation mechanism between the Parties' Traditional Medicine authorities; (g) encouraging cooperation in Traditional Medicine therapeutic services and products manufacturing; and (h) encouraging cooperation in research in the fields of Traditional Medicine in order to contribute in efficacy and safety assessments of natural resources and products used in health care.

  • Petition for Annual Conference Session The Local Church acknowledges that pursuant to the governing standing rules of the Annual Conference, petitions for consideration of the legislative body must be submitted to the Secretary of the Annual Conference on or before April 1 of the current Annual Conference year. The Annual Conference will make reasonable efforts to assist the Local Church in completing the required petition, which will include this Disaffiliation Agreement as an attachment thereto making it subject to public review. If the petition is not filed in a timely manner, the Parties will make good faith efforts under the standing rules of the Annual Conference to cooperate to bring the petition to the legislative floor for consideration by appropriate motions to suspend the standing rules for the purposes of considering the petition.
