Association Business Leave. A total of ten (10) days Association Business Leave shall be allowed by the district on condition that a competent qualified substitute employee is available and willing to serve. The designated representative of the Association and officers of the Association shall be allowed to take such leave for conducting Association Business or to attend state or local conferences. Substitutes hired by the District to cover such absences shall be paid for by the Association. At least five (5) normal business days advance notification of intent to take such leave shall be given to the Superintendent by the Association President.
Association Business Leave. An employee shall have the right to make written application for a leave of absence for Association business for a period not to exceed three (3) days. Written application shall be made at least seven
Association Business Leave. A. Employees elected to Association office or otherwise selected by the Association to conduct Association business that takes them away from their employment may be granted either leave without pay, vacation leave, or paid time from the release bank, pursuant to “D” below, for a reasonable period of time, upon seven (7) days advance notice by the Association. The determination for granting such leave shall be made by Employer based on operational needs of the Agency. Leave will be requested through the normal Agency procedure.
Association Business Leave. A maximum of twelve (12) days each school year may be used to conduct Association business. Any one teacher may be granted a maximum of three (3) days for Association business leave. Said days may be taken in half-day increments. To initiate the use of Association business leave day(s), the President of the Association shall give the superintendent and the building principal, so affected, written notification listing the teacher(s) participating and the date(s) of participation. Any expenses incurred shall be the responsibility of the Association. A statement itemizing the cost to the corporation (including the compensation of substitute teachers) shall be submitted to the Association prior to the beginning of the following school year. The Association shall remit the amount to the Board treasurer in a timely fashion. If an administrator requests a teacher to be absent for purposes defined in this section, said absence shall not be charged against Association business leave nor reimbursement required.
Association Business Leave. 1. Each year the Association shall be allowed fifteen (15) days of paid leave to conduct Association business. For all additional days used, the Association will pay the substitute teacher salary in effect. The Association agrees that these Association days shall not be used to support strikes or attending conferences/meetings which are primarily bargaining oriented. Reference Article XXII, Section E. for school day negotiating.
Association Business Leave. At the beginning of each school year, the Association shall be credited with ten (10) days to be used by teachers who are officers or agents of the Association for the purpose of attending local, state, or national conventions and/or educational conferences of the JCEA, MEA, or NEA, or for any other Association business purpose except for picketing against any school district. The Association agrees:
Association Business Leave. One officer of the Association or member of the Association, upon written request, may be given a one year leave of absence without pay for the purposes of performing duties for the Association.
Association Business Leave. The District, upon mutual agreement with the Association, will release designated individuals in the bargaining unit from his/her teaching duties to conduct Association business for a period of up to, but not more than, ten (10) days each school year. The Association will reimburse the District the actual costs of substitute employees necessitated by any Association leave. During this leave, the designated person(s) will continue to be compensated by the District and will retain all rights and benefits as though in regular service.
Association Business Leave. The Board agrees to grant the Association eight (8) days with pay each year for Association business. The Association will reimburse for the substitute pay and retirement costs. These days will be used at the discretion of the Association and shall not be used for purposes other that those having a direct benefit relationship with the Coldwater Education Association or the Coldwater Public Schools. Use of these days must be arranged no less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the leave date and directed to the Superintendent after approval of the president or his designee of the CEA. The Board additionally agrees to provide up to an additional eight (8) days to be utilized by the CEA President or his/her designee, for the purpose of resolving CEA/District issues. The Superintendent solely has the right to grant these additional days and the substitute pay and fringe benefits will be borne by the District. The purpose of this is to xxxxxx better relations between the CEA and the District and to prevent small issues from becoming major problems.
Association Business Leave. The Board shall provide one (1) day per year Association leave for every ten (10) members of the bargaining Association or one (1) day total whichever is greater for use by the Association. Employees desiring to donate leave to the Business leave bank shall submit a request to payroll. The contribution to the bank will occur through payroll deduction during the first 30 calendar days in each school year or the first 60 days (sixty) calendar days of employment. Unused hours shall be carried forward to the following year. All requests for withdrawal from the bank shall be made by the Association President. The release of employees from duty for Association business leave shall be handled on the same basis as release from duty for annual leave.
