Common use of Conversion of Vacation at Separation Clause in Contracts

Conversion of Vacation at Separation. Upon separation from employment a bargaining unit member shall be entitled to compensation at member's current rate of pay for the vacation days accrued but unused by the employee. Upon resignation or retirement, an employee shall be compensated at his/her current rate of pay for all accrued, unused vacation. Conversion of vacation leave upon the death of an employee shall be made to the employee's estate.
