COORDINATING BENEFITS WITH OTHER PLANS. When you have more than one health plan, "coordination of benefits (COB)" makes sure that the combined payments of all your plans don't exceed your covered health costs. You or your provider should file your claims with your primary plan first. If you have Medicare, Medicare may submit your claims to your secondary plan. Please see "COB's Effect on Benefits" below in this section for details on primary and secondary plans. If you do not know which is your primary plan, you or your provider should contact any of the health plans to verify which plan is primary. The health plan you contact is responsible for working with the other plan(s) to determine which is primary and will let you know within 30 calendar days.

  • Interaction with Other Leave Entitlements (a) An employee proceeding on unpaid Maternity Leave may elect to substitute any part of that leave with accrued annual and/or accrued long service leave.
