Copy Editing and Proofreading Sample Clauses

Copy Editing and Proofreading. Publisher shall have the right to edit The Book in accordance with its standard style of punctuation, spelling, capitalization and usage. Publisher shall provide and Author shall work with an assigned copy editor to provide a final manuscript. Author shall be responsible to proofread and return the proofs and other materials delivered to Author by Publisher. Publisher shall make no changes or alterations to the text of The Book without Author’s final approval.

Copy Editing and Proofreading. The Work will be copy edited by the Publisher and returned to the Author for reading and correction; the corrected manuscript will be returned to the Publisher by the Author within weeks. Queries from the Publisher will be made by attachments to the manuscript and the Author will place all changes or comments only on these attachments. This will be the Author’s last opportunity to make any substantive changes without cost. After the Work has been set in type the Author will read and correct galley and/or page proofs. The Author will prepare, or cause to be prepared, and deliver to the Publisher within weeks of the receipt of page proofs an index to the Work acceptable to the Publisher, unless it has been agreed beforehand that an index will not be needed.
Copy Editing and Proofreading. The Contribution may be copyedited and proofread by the Publisher, but the Publisher shall make no substantive changes to the Contribution without the prior written approval of the Author.

  • Filing and Processing a. Filing A grievance must be filed within thirty (30) days of the occurrence giving rise to the grievance, or the date the grievant knew or could reasonably have known of the occurrence.
