County Required Clauses. As a public entity, County is required to adhere to certain government code provisions and procurement policies and is required to ensure that its contractors be subject to such provisions and policies. Accordingly, the provisions set forth in this Section 15 are required in County contracts and are applicable as set forth herein to contractors engaged by County
a. Drug-Free Workplace. In accordance with the federal Drug-Free and Communities Act and Amendment of 1989, the Georgia Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (O.C.G.A. § 50-21-1, et seq.), and County policy, Contractor declares that the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of a controlled substance, marijuana, or dangerous drug is prohibited at locations where Contractor is directly engaged in the performance of Services pursuant to this Contract. In addition, unlawful possession, use, manufacture, distribution, or sale of alcohol in the Contractor’s workplace is prohibited.
