Common use of Court Appearance/Jury Duty Clause in Contracts

Court Appearance/Jury Duty. Leave with pay not deductible from sick leave shall be granted for court appearances in any case connected with the Employee's work when the Union is not a part of the litigation. Paid leave of absence will be granted for jury duty, but any compensation received by the Employee in the form of witness fees or jury pay, excluding expense reimbursement, will be given to the Employer to offset wages paid.
