Common use of Court Summons Leave Clause in Contracts

Court Summons Leave. Unit members shall be granted a leave with pay, if called in a manner prescribed by law, to serve as a witness in Court other than as a litigant, or to respond to an official order from another government jurisdiction for reasons not brought through the connivance or misconduct of the unit member. The unit member shall notify the District as soon as possible after being officially called. The unit member shall receive the regular salary and shall sign over to the District any fees received except for travel allowance.
