Common use of Criminal Fraud Clause in Contracts

Criminal Fraud. The Recipient acknowledges that 49 U.S.C. § 5323(l)(1) authorizes the Federal Government to impose the penalties under 18 U.S.C. § 1001 if the Recipient provides a false, fictitious, or fraudulent claim, statement, submission, certification, assurance, or representation in connection with a federal public transportation program under 49 U.S.C. chapter 53 or any other applicable federal law.

Criminal Fraud. The Recipient Subrecipient acknowledges that 49 U.S.C. § 5323(l)(1) authorizes the Federal Government to impose the penalties under 18 U.S.C. § 1001 if the Recipient Subrecipient provides a false, fictitious, or fraudulent claim, statement, submission, certification, assurance, or representation in connection with a federal public transportation program under 49 U.S.C. chapter 53 or any other applicable federal law.
