Daily Substitutes. The below salary schedule shall apply to daily substitute teachers (up to three (3) days per week), subject to COLAs in subsequent years. This salary schedule shall replace the salary schedule for daily substitute teachers from the 2020-2023 Unit D collective bargaining agreement, and will be subject to COLAs starting on September 1, 2023. Daily Substitutes. These substitutes are at-will and a day of employment is dependent upon the will of the substitute. There is no limitation on how many days these guest employees may work; however, they will not be permitted to work in two different teachers’ classrooms on the same day, in order to minimize possible cross- contamination. Daily substitutes will be offered a KN95 mask upon check-in, and may request additional levels of PPE (such as face xxxxxxx) due to their potential exposure to multiple groups of students.

  • Substitutes 10.5 The responsibility for the selection, orientation and employment of substitutes rests at the local school level. The principal, or his/her designee, shall be responsible for obtaining qualified substitutes. Teachers shall not be required to obtain their own substitutes.

  • Long-Term Substitutes Long-term substitutes are defined as teachers hired to fill the temporary vacancy of a teacher on leave in the same assignment for more than sixty (60) days. The employment of long-term substitutes shall automatically expire at the end of the period of substitution or upon return to duty of the teacher from an approved leave of absence without any action by the Board or further notice to the teacher.

  • Internal Substitution A. Every reasonable effort will be made to secure substitutes for teachers when they are absent from duty.

  • Non-Paid Status During Treatment After Positive Test The employee will be in a non-pay status during any absence for evaluation or treatment, while participating in a rehabilitation program.

  • Substitution of Equipment In the event the Computer is inoperable, ASL has a limited number of spare laptops for use while the Computer is being repaired or replaced. This agreement remains in effect for such a substitute. The Student may NOT opt to keep a broken Computer or to avoid using the Computer due to loss or damage.
