Common use of Daily Transportation Clause in Contracts

Daily Transportation. When an Employee is required to supply his/her own transportation beyond the City Limits of Regina or Saskatoon, each Employee shall be paid a transportation expense of the established rate per road kilometre. The transportation expense is to be calculated from the City Hall in Regina or Saskatoon to the boundary of the project Free Zone and return daily. When an Employer is providing transportation, each Employee shall be paid an allowance equal to his/her straight time rate for the actual travel time. Where an Iron worker is a resident within the thirty (30) road kilometre Free Zone of the Saskatoon City Hall and commutes daily from his residence to any project, the Employer shall not be obliged to pay initial and terminal transportation expense to the jobsite and back to Regina.
