Day-Ahead. Nominally, the twenty-four (24) hour period directly preceding the Dispatch Day, except when this period may be extended by the ISO to accommodate weekends and holidays.
Day-Ahead. EIM Entity Scheduling Coordinators and EIM Participating Resource Scheduling Coordinators may not submit bids in the CAISO’s Day-Ahead Market on behalf of EIM Market Participants that they represent.
Day-Ahead. (a) The System Operator publicly submits its twenty four (24) hourly quantities of total Regulation Capacity requirements (± MW) for the following day. The System Operator submits these Regulation Service hourly requirement quantities via the morning Day Zero Advisory Notification System, sent out at 05:30 EST.
Day-Ahead. Efficiency In general, to maximize efficiency and avoid distortion, all the abovementioned tasks involved by the pre-coupling should be pushed to take place as late as possible. Regarding the coupling process, the efficiency is increased as the total time needed to conduct the associated tasks is shortened. However, coupling needs to be conducted in a robust and secure manner. Total time to conduct the tasks, under nominal operational conditions, currently takes 42 minutes.
