The reasons for the decision are: A S22A agreement was entered into in 2008 for the establishment of the West and Southern Coast Consortium (WSCC) with the aim of providing a collaborative arrangement relating to the procurement and delivery of forensic and analytical services. The lead policing body has given notice that it and the lead chief officer wish to withdraw from their roles as lead parties. The original collaboration arrangement will manage the existing contracts for 19 forces until the conclusion of those contracts on 30th June 2022. This new S22A agreement appoints a replacement lead policing body and lead chief officer. The decision is that: The Deputy Mayor authorises the entering into of the above S.22A agreement, for the procurement and delivery of forensic and analytical services to the West and Southern Coast Consortium (‘WSCC’). This decision will contribute to priorities of the the Greater Manchester strategy in the following ways: Strengthening communities and the investigations and detection of crime Financial comments: Under the replacement S22A Agreement each party is to share the benefits, risks and liabilities of the collaboration. The financial contribution is determined by reference to an apportionment percentage based on the Net Revenue Budget of the parties.
