Common use of Default Enrollment Clause in Contracts

Default Enrollment. 34 1. New full-time employees who fail to submit timely application for 1 enrollment into the medical-dental benefit plans described in Section A will be enrolled by 2 default in the County’s Major Medical plan and ODS Dental plan, with employee only 3 coverage. Eligible dependents of such employees may be enrolled in the default plans if the 4 employee submits application requesting dependent enrollment within fifteen (15) days of 5 receiving notice of his or her default enrollment. 6 2. New part-time employees who fail to submit a timely application for 7 enrollment into the medical and dental benefits described in Section A above will be enrolled 8 by default in the County’s Major Medical plan, with employee only coverage. Eligible 9 dependents of such employees may be enrolled in the default plan if the employee submits 10 application requesting dependent enrollment within fifteen (15) days of receiving notice of his 11 or her default enrollment.
