Common use of Default Enrollment Clause in Contracts

Default Enrollment. 1. New Full-time employees who fail to submit a timely to enrollment to Opt Out or enroll into the medical and dental benefit plans described in Section A will be enrolled by default in the County’s PPO 400 plan and Delta Dental 50 plan, with employee only coverage. Eligible dependents of such employees may be enrolled in the default plans if the employee requests dependent enrollment within fifteen (15) days of the date that the default enrollment notice is issued. 2. New Three-Quarter-Time and Half-Time employees who fail to submit a timely enrollment to Opt Out or enroll into the medical and dental benefit plans described in Section A above will be enrolled by default in the County’s Major Medical plan, with employee only coverage. Eligible dependents of such employees may be enrolled in the default plan if the employee requests dependent enrollment within fifteen (15) days of the date that the default enrollment notice is issued.
