Definition of Catastrophic Illness or Injury. For purposes of this Policy, the term "catastrophic illness or injury" shall include only those non-occupational illnesses or critical injuries of the Employee, or his/her terminally ill or injured spouse or dependent where the unpaid medical leave of absence will continue at least thirty (30) calendar days.

Definition of Catastrophic Illness or Injury. For the purposes of this Policy, the term "catastrophic provision “Catastrophic illness or injury" ” shall include only those non-occupational illnesses mean an illness or critical injuries injury other than Industrial Accident:
a. That is expected to incapacitate the receiving member or a member of their family for an extended period of time in excess of ten (10) consecutive work days beyond the exhaustion of the Employee, or his/her terminally ill or injured spouse or dependent where members paid leave entitlements; and
b. Which would create a financial hardship for the unpaid medical leave member due to the exhaustion of absence will continue at least thirty (30) calendar daysall sick leaves and other paid time off.
