For the purpose of bereavement leave, a family member is defined as a spouse, domestic partner registered with the State of California, child, father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in- law, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law.
