Definition of Seniority. Seniority shall be determined by continuous service in the Fire Department calculated from the date of employment. Continuous service shall be broken only by unauthorized leaves of absence, resignation, discharge or retirement. Employees with the same employment date shall be assigned to the seniority list in the order of their appointment.

Definition of Seniority. (a) Seniority shall be determined by an employee’s continuous length of service within the bargaining unit from her last date of hire, unless otherwise agreed herein.

Definition of Seniority. For purposes of this Article, seniority shall be based on the employee’s length of continuous full-time employment as a sworn firefighter in the employ of the City.
