Development Programmes. The Concessionaire shall establish and constitute a separate fund under its control, within 6 (six) months after the Effective Date, which will primarily be used with the objective to develop particularly the youth and uplift the community as a whole within the Concession Area via the provision of, inter alia - technical training and assistance by the Concessionaire in inter alia bricklaying, VIP construction, plumbing, carpentry, welding, urban farming, irrigation, adult literacy and financial skills for business management; financial support to upgrade to functional standards various existing training, educational, medical and sporting facilities within the Concession Area; bursaries to selected persons within the Concession Area to facilitate their education and training in various technical fields; school awareness programs such as (but not limited to) the provision of science apparatus, the arranging of school trips and visits to Water Services installations and the presenting of guest lectures in respect of water management and conservation; adult education in sanitation, water demand management and conservation. To achieve the objectives set out above, the Concessionaire shall make available an amount of [AMOUNT AND CURRENCY] during each 12 (twelve) month period as from the Effective Date for the duration of this Contract. The amount of [AMOUNT AND CURRENCY] will be revised annually on each anniversary of the Effective Date in order that its initial value will be maintained relative to the increase in the CPI over the relevant period. The views of the local community will be taken into consideration by the Concessionaire in determining the application and implementation of the fund.
