DISABILITY BENEFITS FOR ASSAULT WHILE ON DUTY. A leave of absence with pay and without charge to time allowances, for a period not to exceed one calendar year, shall be granted, subject to established administrative practices, to an employee covered by the Workers' Compensation Law upon the determination of the Chancellor that the employee has been physically disabled because of an assault made upon him/her during the performance of his/her official duties, provided that such injury is compensable under the Workers' Compensation Law.
