Common use of Discharge or Discipline Grievances Clause in Contracts

Discharge or Discipline Grievances. A grievance by an employee that he has been disciplined or discharged, without just cause, will be treated as a special grievance commencing at Step No. 2 of the Grievance Procedure, provided the grievance is submitted within seven (7) calendar days after the discipline/discharge occurs. Such special grievances may be settled by confirming the discipline or discharge, or by reinstating the employee with full compensation, or by any other arrangement which is just and equitable in the opinion of the conferring parties.
