DISCIPLINARY PENALTIES. When deciding penalties, we take into account the seriousness of the misconduct, the circumstances of the misconduct, and your means and general personal circumstances. Penalties may include: • Written warnings • A fine or a requirement to pay reasonable compensation or a requirement to perform services for the BU community • Suspension from your course for a fixed period of time, up to twelve months • Exclusion from the award of a degree or other academic award • Withdrawing you from your course.
