Discrimination and Equal Opportunity. The AJCC partner shall not unlawfully discriminate, harass or allow harassment against any employee, applicant for employment or AJCC applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions, transgender status, and gender identity), national origin (including limited English proficiency), age, disability, or political affiliation or belief, veteran status, any other status protected by law or against beneficiaries on the basis of either citizenship status or participation in any WIOA Title I- financially assisted program or activity. The AJCC partner agrees to comply with the provisions of the Fair Employment and Housing Act (Government Code Section 12990) and related, applicable regulations. The AJCC partner will assure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and its amendments, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability, as well as other applicable regulations and guidelines issued pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act. Parties to this MOU shall include nondiscrimination and compliance provisions of this section in all subcontracts or financial agreements related to or within the scope of this MOU.
