Districtwide School Closure Clause Samples
The Districtwide School Closure clause establishes the procedures and consequences that apply when all schools within a district are closed, typically due to emergencies such as natural disasters, public health crises, or other significant events. This clause outlines how school operations, employee responsibilities, and contractual obligations are affected during such closures, often specifying whether staff are required to work remotely, how pay and benefits are handled, and the process for resuming normal operations. Its core function is to provide clear guidance and minimize confusion during districtwide emergencies, ensuring that all parties understand their rights and duties when schools cannot operate as usual.
