Drivers Training. Public Works Department shall initiate a Driver's Training Program which shall include periodic refresher courses, for all employees required to operate a City vehicle. Upon successful completion of the Program, the City shall issue an Operator Certificate specifying which vehicles the employee is qualified to operate. After the Program is in full operation, continued provisional and permanent assignment to the operation of specific vehicles shall be contingent upon appropriate certification.

Drivers Training. If the Board offers bus driver training and designates a bargaining unit member to train potential bus drivers, the rate of pay will be the trainer’s driving rate of pay per hour. 29.02.01 Drivers will have the option to accept/decline new potential bus drivers to drive their bus on regular route.
Drivers Training. All employees and authorized volunteers who wish to drive a university vehicle (owned or rented) must successfully complete an approved defensive driving course upon initial employment, unless they already possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Defensive driving courses are offered and/or approved by the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHS). Unit supervisors must ensure that employees have completed required training before they are allowed to drive a university vehicle. (i) Departmental responsibility for monitoring driver training. Units must ensure that their employees, authorized volunteers, or approved ASUI student drivers complete the appropriate training before driving a university vehicle for official university business or officially sanctioned student activity.
Drivers Training. Any EMPLOYEE who is employed as an intermittent/seasonal employee in the capacity of Additional Programs - Driving Instructor, shall be compensated at a mutually agreed upon hourly rate that is not less than the employee’s regular rate of pay for all hours served in the capacity of Driving Instructor. The compensation shall be separate from, and not in addition to, the employee’s regular rate of pay. The Driving Instructor intermittent/seasonal position is only available to regular full time employees who must apply for the position and meet minimum qualifications prior to the selection and placement process.
Drivers Training. The Company agrees to provide training to any employee upon request to such an extent that the employee may be able to acquire a Class "A" drivers license. The cost of such training shall be shared equally between the Company and the employee. Employees shall make all such requests for training, in writing, to the Company and a copy of such request shall be forwarded to the Union by the Company. The Company further agrees to allow such employees the required time off to take the examinations to obtain such license.

  • Technical Training The CAISO and the Participating TOs shall respond to reasonable requests for support and provide relevant technical training to each other’s employees to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CAISO Controlled Grid and to comply with any NERC or WECC operator certification or training requirements. Examples of such technical training include, but are not limited to: (1) the theory or operation of new or modified equipment (e.g., control systems, Remedial Action Schemes, protective relays); (2) computer and applicator programs; and (3) CAISO (or Participating TO) requirements. The Parties shall enter into agreements regarding the timing, term, locations, and cost allocation for the training.

  • General Training 417. The City will use its best efforts to provide Local 21 represented employees with up to forty (40) hours of paid time off for job-related training and/or professional development, which shall include one day of professional development of an employee’s choice, not to be unreasonably denied. Such time may include departmental-sponsored training and/or professional development; DHR sponsored training and/or professional development; and/or outside training and/or professional development approved by appointing officer or designee. The foregoing includes but is not limited to mandatory continuing education and/or training requirements.

  • Job Training ‌ The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes: (1) for planning training programs for those employees affected by technological change; (2) for planning training programs to enable employees to qualify for new positions being planned through future expansion or renovation; (3) for planning training programs for those employees affected by new methods of operation; (4) for planning training programs in the area of general skill upgrading. Whenever necessary, this Committee shall seek the assistance of external training resources such as the Federal Human Resources Development Canada and Provincial Ministry of Labour, or other recognized training institutions.

  • Staff Training 3.3.5.1 The CONTRACTOR shall provide regular and ongoing comprehensive training for CONTRACTOR staff to ensure that they understand the goals of Centennial Care 2.0, including the integration of physical, Long-Term Care and Behavioral Health, the provisions and limitations of the ABP and the requirements of this Agreement. As issues are identified by the CONTRACTOR and/or HSD, the CONTRACTOR shall provide timely and targeted training to staff. 3.3.5.2 The CONTRACTOR shall provide an initial orientation and training as well as ongoing training, including training targeted to different types of staff, to ensure compliance with this Agreement. Including targeted training regarding: 3.3.5.2.1 Care Coordination; 3.3.5.2.2 Nursing Facility Level of Care Determinations; 3.3.5.2.3 Setting of Care Submissions; 3.3.5.2.4 Community Benefit Services and Supplemental Questionnaire; and

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Trainings Appointment of any length involving two (2) or more Consumers who might need to split up to join different trainings, group discussions, etc.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • Maintenance Training 16.8.1 The Seller will provide maintenance training for the Buyer’s ground personnel as further set forth in Appendix A to this Clause 16. The available courses will be as listed in the Seller’s Customer Services Catalog current at the time of the course. The practical training provided in the frame of maintenance training will be performed on the training devices in use in the Seller’s Training Centers.
