GUARANTEED DAY. Subject to the exceptions set forth in this Section and in Section 5.14, any employee reporting for work at the start of the employees' shift, will be guaranteed eight (8) hours work at the employee's regular job, or pay equal thereto, provided that, if there are insufficient hours of work available at the employee's regular job, the employee will perform such other work as may be assigned to the employee to qualify for such pay. This provision will apply only once each day and it will only apply to an employee's regular shift. The provisions of this Section will not apply in case of shutdowns necessitated by emergencies beyond the control of the Company, or if the employee: 1 Voluntarily quits.
GUARANTEED DAY. (s) Off means an unbroken period of twenty-four (24) hours off duty and free from all work related responsibilities and duties commencing 0001 at the Employee’s home base, designated with an X in a Blockholder’s schedule.
GUARANTEED DAY. Drivers are guaranteed a minimum of six (6) hours per day. Employees are expected to work the full six hours, and may be given extra driving duties (including route coverage) up to six (6) hours. Drivers who decline additional duties will be paid only their actual hours worked. If there is more than one driver available for the extra duty, the least senior available driver will be assigned if there are no volunteers or extra board drivers available.

Subject to the exceptions set forth in this Section and in Section 5.09, warehouse employees reporting for work at the start of the employee’s shift will be guaranteed eight (8) hours of work and office employees will be guaranteed seven and one-half (7 ½) hours of work at their regular job, or pay equal thereto, provided that, if there are insufficient hours of work available at the employee’s regular job, the employee will perform such other work as may be assigned to the employee to qualify for such pay. This provision will apply only once each day and it will only apply to an employee’s regular shift. The provisions of this section will not apply in case of shutdowns necessitated by emergencies beyond the control of the Company, or if the employee: 1 - Voluntarily quits; 2 - Was previously instructed not to report (in such event or circumstance the employee will then only be paid for the actual time worked) 3 – Reports for work on a shift for which he/she was not scheduled

In the event that an employee has already worked four (4) hours, he will be guaranteed eight (8) hours of pay. The provisions of this Section will not apply in case of shutdowns necessitated by emergencies beyond the control of the Company, or if the employee:
GUARANTEED DAY. The guaranteed day shall be for no less than 8 hours excluding meal breaks. However, in the case of grade one (1), the minimum daily call shall be for no less than 10 hours excluding meal breaks.
GUARANTEED DAY. Every employer shall, in respect of every day, pay to every worker in his employment to whom this agreement applies, a sum which is not less that daily wage normally payable to the worker, provided that during the whole of the normal working hours of that day, the worker is:
GUARANTEED DAY. (a) Subject to the exceptions set forth in this Section, any employee(s) reporting for work on his regular shift shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours' pay at his regular wage rate.
GUARANTEED DAY. OFF (GDO) Means an unbroken period of twenty-four (24) hours commencing at 00h01 hours at the Flight Attendant’s home base and where the Flight Attendant is free from all work- related responsibilities and duties. GDO’s are the days attached to either side of your scheduled vacation and count as part of your total days off in a month.
