Due Process and Progressive Discipline. The District and the Association wish to affirm their understanding of the District’s adherence to due process and progressive discipline concepts; it is agreed to by the District and the Association as follows: 1. The District will adhere to due process and progressive discipline concepts consistent with the Illinois School Code. 2. As a part of adherence to due process concepts, the District will provide adequate notice of a pre-disciplinary meeting with a member, except that in cases of potential threat or harm, the District may forego notice. 3. In issuing discipline, the District will use progressive discipline including the following: A. Issuance of verbal warning; B. Letter of Direction; C. Letter of Reprimand; D. Suspension without pay (optional); E. Issuance of Notice of Remedial Warning; and
