Layoff Benefits. All rights to which a certificated employee was entitled at the time of his/her layoff including unused accumulated sick leave and credits toward leave eligibility will be restored to the certificated employee upon his/her return to active employment, and the certificated employee will be placed upon the proper step of the salary schedule for the certificated employee's current position according to the certificated employee's experience and education.
Layoff Benefits. A. All positions of substitute teacher shall be offered to qualified teachers on layoff who are on the substitute list before any other person is offered such a position.
B. When an employee is laid off from continuous permanent service with the City, the employee may elect to receive an amount equal to his salary at the time of lay-off for one-half (1/2) the number of days for unused sick leave which the employee has accumulated, provided that the maximum payment shall not exceed an amount equal to wages for ninety (90) days.

Layoff Benefits. 8/12/1 Upon written request of an employee, accumulated unused sick leave shall, at the time of layoff, be converted to cash at the employee’s current base pay rate for credits to be used to pay health insurance premium costs during the time of the layoff. Direct premium payment to the insurer shall be made by the Employer on behalf of the laid off employee. Premium payments under this provision shall be limited to a maximum period of five (5) years from the date of layoff or shall cease the first of the month following the employee’s acceptance of any other employment, whichever occurs first. At the time of reinstatement or restoration, unused cash credits shall be reconverted to sick leave at the same rate used for the original conversion and restored to the employee’s sick leave account.
Layoff Benefits. 1. Subject to the group employee insurance carrier, the District shall extend coverage under its medical program, for the balance of the layoff to contract and probationary employees who are laid off. The District will pay the cost of such medical premiums during the first three (3) months following layoff and such coverage may be continued by the employee for the balance of the layoff provided the employee pays the premium. Employees who accept other employment shall not be eligible for the extension of group insurance coverage, except as provided under COBRA guidelines.
2. 3. Time that an employee spends on the layoff list does not count toward movement on the salary schedule nor toward accrual of benefits. But in the situation where an employee works at least 135 student contact days in a year he/she will receive credit for vertical movement on the salary schedule.

Layoff Benefits. 1. When reduction of staff is necessary, all requested leaves of absence for any reasonable purpose shall be granted by the Board.
2. A laid off employee shall receive insurance benefits as herein provided for a period of six months following the effective date of his/her layoff, or until equally covered by a subsequent employer.
3. The Board and the Union shall jointly establish a priority substitution list, based upon seniority as described herein, including all bargaining unit members affected by layoff. Such list shall be used in the selection of members to substitute for any employee on sick leave or other types of leaves.
4. Laid off/reduction of hours employees shall receive their regular rate of pay for substituting. RECALL
A. It is the responsibility of laid off employees to maintain a current address with the Board of Education.
B. A laid off employee shall be considered laid off until he/she is reinstated in the district, refuses an offer from the Board of a position for which he/she is qualified, fails to respond within fourteen
