DUES AND CHECK OFF. 7.01 The Company shall deduct Union dues including, where applicable, initiation fees and assessments, on a monthly basis, from the wages of each employee covered by this Agreement. The amount of dues shall be calculated in accordance with the Union’s Constitution. Each employee in the bargaining unit shall be required as a condition of employment to have an amount equivalent to the regular weekly Union dues deducted from his pay on each pay period. All employees shall become and remain members of the Union as a condition of employment. 7.02 All dues, initiation fees and assessments shall be remitted to the Union forthwith and in any event no later than fifteen (15) days following the last day of the month in which the remittance was deducted. The remittance shall be sent to the International Secretary Treasurer of the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (UNITED STEELWORKERS), X.X. Xxx 00000 Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx “A”, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx, X0X 0X0 in such form as shall be directed by the Union to the Company along with a completed Dues Remittance Form R115. A copy of the Dues Remittance Form R115 will also be sent to the Union office designated by the Area Coordinator. 7.03 The remittance and the R115 Form shall be accompanied by a statement containing the following information: i) A list of the names of all employees from whom dues were deducted and the amount of dues deducted; ii) A list of the names of all employees from whom no deductions have been made and the reasons why; iii) This information shall be sent to both the Union address identified in Article 7.02 above, in such form as shall be directed by the Union to the Company. 7.04 The Union shall indemnify and save the Company harmless against all claims or other forms of liability that may arise out of any actions taken by the Company in compliance with this Article. 7.05 The Company, when preparing T-4 slips for the employees, will enter the amount of Union dues paid by the employee during the previous year.

DUES AND CHECK OFF. 7.01 The Pursuant to the Canada Labour Code, the Company shall deduct Union dues including, where applicable, initiation fees and assessments, on a monthly basis, from the wages of each employee covered to whom the collective agreement applies the amount of the regular union dues. For the purposes only of this Article students shall have union dues deducted from their pay in respect of work which they where the work is normally performed by this Agreementmembers of the bargaining unit. For all other purposes the agreement shall not apply to students. Students shall not normally be hired to fill permanent vacant positions. The amount regular Union dues are calculated based on the number of hours worked by each employee during a pay period and such dues shall be calculated in accordance with the Union’s Constitution. Each employee in the bargaining unit shall be required as a condition of employment to have an amount equivalent to the regular weekly Union dues deducted from his the employees pay on each cheque for that pay period. All employees shall become period and remain members of the Union as a condition of employment.
7.02 All dues, initiation fees and assessments same shall be remitted to the Communication, Energy Union forthwith and in any event no later than fifteen (15) days following of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario on a timely basis except where unforeseen or unusual circumstances apply. The Company shall at the last day time of remitting the union dues so deducted furnish the Union with a list the name of the month in which the remittance was deducted. The remittance shall be sent to the International Secretary Treasurer of the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (UNITED STEELWORKERS), X.X. Xxx 00000 Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx “A”, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx, X0X 0X0 in such form as shall be directed by the Union to the Company along with a completed Dues Remittance Form R115. A copy of the Dues Remittance Form R115 will also be sent to the Union office designated by the Area Coordinator.
7.03 The remittance and the R115 Form shall be accompanied by a statement containing the following information:
i) A list of the names of all employees from whom dues deductions were deducted made and the amount of dues deducted;deducted from each employee. Each employee's slip shall clearly show the amount of money deducted and remitted. The Company will recognize a grievance committee consisting of not more than eight (8) employees of the Company or alternates who shall be employees of Company, designated by the Union, in writing, provided, however, not more than four (4) members of committee shall attend at any grievance meeting. There shall be at least two (2) representatives from each of the following three (3) departments:
ii(a) A list Mine Department Mill Department General Services and and Any membership change in the grievance committee will be submitted in writing to the Company. The Company will recognize an occupational health and safety committee which will be made up of an equal number of representatives from both the Company and the Union. The Union will designate in writing, the names of six (6) employees of the Company as members of the said committee, provided, however, not more than three (3) such members shall attend at any meeting of the committee. There shall be at least two (2) representatives from each of the following three (3) departments:
(a) Mine Department Mill Department General Services and and The Company will notify the Union in writing of its representatives on the committee. appropriate departments of government shall be advised of the creation of this committee and shall be advised of the names of all the members of the committee. The Company will recognize a negotiating committee of not more than eight (8) employees from whom no deductions have been made and of the reasons why;
iii) This information shall be sent to both Company as designated by the Union address identified in writing. There be at least two (2) representatives from each of the following three (3) departments:
(a) Mine Department Mill Department General Services and and The Union will furnish a written list to the Company giving the names of all members on the negotiating committee. Any membership change in the committee will be submitted in writing to the Company. The Company agrees that members of the Union's negotiating committee may travel free of charge to and from the mine sites to Saskatoon on Company provided transportation when such travel is necessary for the employee to attend negotiating meetings with the Company. Requests for such travel arrangements shall he made to the employee's immediate supervisor at least one (1) week in advance of the scheduled meeting with the Company. The Union may have the assistance of a representative of the National Union, or an authorized Agent of the Local Union, present at any meeting of the above recognized committees with the Company. In addition to its negotiating committee as defined in Article 7.02 aboveand its representative as defined in paragraph hereof, the Union reserves the right to have in such form as shall be directed attendance at a negotiations meeting a subject specialist engaged by the Union to advise the Union with respect to a particular subject matter. The Union will furnish a written list to the Company, giving the names of all Executive members of the Union, of the Stewards and the Alternate Stewards and Committee and Alternate Committee hers. This written list will be kept current by the Union. Only those Union members whose names have been given to the Company, in writing, will be recognized by the Company. As far as is practical, grievance meetings between the Company and the Union's grievance committee and meetings of the occupational health and safety commit- tee will be held at the site during normal working hours. A committee member attending such meetings shall not suffer a loss of regular pay as a result of attending such meetings.
7.04 The Union (a) Either party may by notice in writing, request a communication meeting be convened to discuss and consider any relevant topic of significance affecting the company the employees. Such communication meetings shall indemnify and save the Company harmless against all claims or other forms of liability that may arise out of any actions taken not be convened more frequently than once each quarter. Communications meetings as contemplated by the Company in compliance with this Article.
7.05 The Company, when preparing T-4 slips for shall be organized having regard to the employees, will enter the amount following formats: Format A being meetings to discuss and consider topics which are considered to be of Union dues paid by the employee during the previous year.a site specific nature; and
