Early Departure for Summer School Study. The Shaker Heights City School District is interested in having teachers upgrade their professional competency by continuing graduate study. Occasionally attendance in summer school creates a conflict with the closing of school at the end of the school year. In such cases the Superintendent will consider on an individual basis request for early release from the teaching contract for attending summer school but will require as supporting information a statement indicating the following:

  • ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR SENIOR COLLEGE PROGRAM  The A.A. degree and a minimum GPA of 2.00  Grade of C or better in a credit-bearing mathematics course worth three or more credits*  Grade of C or better in freshman composition, its equivalent, or a higher-level English course* *(Effective 10/1/08, per University policy) Students who wish to transfer but do not meet all of the above requirements or are unable to enroll within two years after graduation will receive admission consideration under our standard transfer credit policies.   • Commencement of Final Design This contract does not obligate the State to proceed with final design for any alternative. On completion of environmental documentation, the State will consider all reasonable alternatives in a fair and objective manner. Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in the contract or in any work authorization, the Engineer may not proceed with final design until after all relevant environmental decision documents have been issued.
