Common use of EFFECTIVE DATE OF DEDUCTION OF DUES Clause in Contracts

EFFECTIVE DATE OF DEDUCTION OF DUES. The Payroll Deduction Form shall become effective upon receipt of notification from OCCFA by the Financial Services Department and shall remain in effect as long as the faculty member maintains status as a faculty bargaining unit member or until the faculty member rescinds the dues deduction authorization. Notwithstanding any provision on the authorization form or otherwise, a rescission may be made at any time if made in writing and provided to the College’s Financial Services department and OCCFA, and each shall notify the other, within two (2) weeks of its receipt of such a notice. The College shall cease making the deductions within thirty (30) days of its receipt of the notice from the faculty member.
