Common use of Election of Stewards Clause in Contracts

Election of Stewards. In order to provide an orderly procedure for the settling of grievances, the City acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or select stewards whose duties shall be to assist an employee which the xxxxxxx represents in preparing and presenting his grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure. The Union shall notify the City in writing of the name of each xxxxxxx.
