Electricians Allowance. (a) Electricians who are the holders of the ‘A’ Class Licence (formerly ‘UN’ or ‘A’ Grade Licence or E-Class Licence) shall receive an ‘all purpose’ allowance in accordance with the relevant wage schedules. (b) Employee electricians who are the holders of the ‘A’ Class Licence shall not receive this allowance if and while the following conditions are all met: (i) The Employee has never been required during their employment with the Employer to perform duties that require the Employee to hold an ‘A’ Class Licence; (ii) The Employee has never been paid the Electricians Allowance by the Employer during their period of employment with the Employer; and (iii) The Employee was advised by the Employer at the time of employment that their position would not involve duties that require the Employee to hold an ‘A’ Class Licence.
