Eligibility for Leave. The bargaining unit member shall provide a certificate from a licensed physician stating the nature and duration of the disability and the necessity of absence from regular employment. In addition, the Board may require the member claiming more than five (5) days of Assault Leave to submit to a medical examination by a Board approved physician. If the Board requires such a medical examination, the full cost of the examination, including mileage reimbursement, shall be borne by the Board.
