Common use of Eligibility for Leave Clause in Contracts

Eligibility for Leave. Except for leaves of absence for ill health, child care and military, and leaves under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), for which all bargaining unit members are eligible, leaves of absence without pay and fringe benefits may be granted only to bargaining unit members who have been granted tenure in the district and have completed four (4) or more years of service in the district.
