Eligibility for Long Service Leave. The long service leave entitlements of employees are governed by the Long Service Leave Act 1987 (SA), but with the additional benefit that employees will be entitled to take long service leave after 8 years of continuous service instead of the normal requirement of 10 years’ service. In this circumstance, long service leave must be taken for a complete school term.
