Emergency Appointments. a) In the event that a candidate is offered a position that was posted and does not sign back the Appointment Letter, or accepts the appointment and abandons the appointment twenty (20) Days prior to the start of the Course the University shall fill the resulting vacancy with a qualified Internal Applicant. If no qualified Internal Applicant is available, the University may fill the resulting vacancy through whatever means it may choose. b) In the event a Course becomes available and/or there is an unforeseen vacancy and/or an instructor abandons the appointment before it is completed, any time after twenty (20) Days prior to the start date of the Course the University may fill the resulting vacancy through whatever means it may choose.
