Emergency Conditions. Each building will use its decision-making process to determine how the building staff will deal with the negative impact of emergencies such as snowstorms and earthquakes. Prior to the annual review in the fall, the District will provide each staff member any legal parameters concerning coverage of students in cases of emergency. If the emergency requires staff to stay beyond their workday, those who cover will be compensated at their per diem rate or will receive release time, per their choice.
