Common use of Emergency Preparedness Clause in Contracts

Emergency Preparedness. Contractor must follow DOC 3.2.1 Emergency Management, DOC 3.2.1A Department Emergency Operations Plan, and PFB 6.2.422 RD Facility Escapes. Contractor shall maintain written procedures to provide for the continued operation of the program in the event of an employee work stoppage, emergency, or disaster. The procedures shall include, but not be limited to: assignment of tasks and responsibilities, instructions for the use of alarm systems, notification of authorities, use of special emergency equipment, and specifications of escape routes and procedures. The emergency evacuation routes shall be posted at highly visible locations and explained to each new offender at orientation. The Facility shall conduct and maintain documentation of quarterly drills and evaluate the effectiveness of disaster procedures.
