Common use of Emergency Response Leave Clause in Contracts

Emergency Response Leave. 27.1. An Employee may be granted up to 38 hours paid leave in circumstances where an Employee is requested by an emergency service of which they are a member to attend an emergency situation which is causing or threatens to cause damage or injury to life, property or stock. The Employer may approve further leave with or without pay where the need is of such a magnitude as to warrant special consideration.
