Employee Acting in Vacant Position. Any employee who has been placed in a vacant position as an acting employee will normally be limited to sixty (60) days in such position. If in the best interests of the City’s operations it is necessary to extend an acting employee’s assignment past sixty (60) days, this time period may be extended upon the agreement of the Human Resources Manager and the Chief Union Xxxxxxx.
