Employee Appearance and Dress Code. 12.4.1 Pursuant to the public service duties of the office as described in 12.1 above, management may uniformly designate an appropriate dress code or standards including, but not limited to, such factors as articles of clothing, employee identification badges, hairstyles, and personal hygiene. Those standards are set forth in Appendix D which is attached to and incorporated in this agreement. From June 1st to October 1st, any facility employee scheduled/assigned to work outside (e.g. giving drive tests, working outside customer lines) is allowed to wear shorts on the day they are scheduled/assigned to work outside. The shorts must not be shorter than 2 inches above the knee and must meet all other requirements of the Dress Code, including not being torn, being in good condition, and being clean. This exception to the Dress Code only applies to facility employees on the day they are scheduled/assigned to work outside. Counter staff or other employees working inside the facility are not permitted to wear shorts. 12.4.2 Employees violating the standards set for in Appendix D and/or this article shall be counseled as to the appropriate dress code or standards and shall be given one opportunity to conform. If the violation of the dress code or standards is deemed totally inappropriate to the position, an employee may be sent home without pay to correct the violation. After that one opportunity to conform, employees shall be disciplined for the next violation, and further violations shall result in progressively more severe discipline, up to and including discharge. In the event an employee’s uniform becomes inappropriate due to a work related incident, he/she shall be allowed to return home to change without loss of pay and then return to work.

  • Dress Code CONTRACTOR shall maintain a dress code for their employee’s with a minimum of shirts, pants, and work shoes/boots, in decent condition, at all times while the work is being performed. In the event the COUNTY determines ID badges are necessary, the COUNTY will provide CONTRACTOR with ID badges and CONTRACTOR agrees to enforce that its employees, whether employed by CONTRACTOR or a subcontractor, wear such ID badge while working on site for the Project/Service.

  • SWEATFREE CODE OF CONDUCT a. All Contractors contracting for the procurement or laundering of apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, or the procurement of equipment, materials, or supplies, other than procurement related to a public works contract, declare under penalty of perjury that no apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, equipment, materials, or supplies furnished to the state pursuant to the contract have been laundered or produced in whole or in part by sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor, or with the benefit of sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor. The contractor further declares under penalty of perjury that they adhere to the Sweatfree Code of Conduct as set forth on the California Department of Industrial Relations website located at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx, and Public Contract Code Section 6108. b. The contractor agrees to cooperate fully in providing reasonable access to the contractor’s records, documents, agents or employees, or premises if reasonably required by authorized officials of the contracting agency, the Department of Industrial Relations, or the Department of Justice to determine the contractor’s compliance with the requirements under paragraph (a).

  • Incorporation of Software Code I agree that I will not incorporate into any Company software or otherwise deliver to Company any software code licensed under the GNU General Public License or Lesser General Public License or any other license that, by its terms, requires or conditions the use or distribution of such code on the disclosure, licensing, or distribution of any source code owned or licensed by Company except in strict compliance with Company’s policies regarding the use of such software.

  • Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace City reserves the right to deny access to, or require Contractor to remove from, City facilities personnel of any Contractor or subcontractor who City has reasonable grounds to believe has engaged in alcohol abuse or illegal drug activity which in any way impairs City's ability to maintain safe work facilities or to protect the health and well-being of City employees and the general public. City shall have the right of final approval for the entry or re-entry of any such person previously denied access to, or removed from, City facilities. Illegal drug activity means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, purchasing, using or being under the influence of illegal drugs or other controlled substances for which the individual lacks a valid prescription. Alcohol abuse means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, or using alcoholic beverages, or being under the influence of alcohol.

  • California Civil Code § 1542 It is possible that other claims not known to the Parties arising out of the facts alleged in the Notice and relating to the Products will develop or be discovered. Xxxxxxxx on behalf of himself only, on one hand, and Xxxxxx, on the other hand, acknowledge that this Agreement is expressly intended to cover and include all such claims up through the Effective Date, including all rights of action therefor. The Parties acknowledge that the claims released in §§ 5.1 and 5.2, above, may include unknown claims, and nevertheless waive California Civil Code § 1542 as to any such unknown claims. Executive, being aware of said code section, agrees to expressly waive any rights he may have thereunder, as well as under any other statute or common law principles of similar effect.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE WORKPLACE 20.1 All employees must report to work in a condition fit to perform their assigned duties unimpaired by alcohol or drugs.

  • DRUG ABUSE DETECTION AND DETERRENCE 2.18.1 It is the policy of the City to achieve a drug-free workforce and workplace. The manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, sale, or use of illegal drugs or alcohol by contractors while on City Premises is prohibited. Contractor shall comply with all the requirements and procedures set forth in the Mayor’s Drug Abuse Detection and Deterrence Procedures for Contractors, Executive Order No. 1-31 (the “Executive Order”), which is incorporated into this Agreement and is on file in the City Secretary’s Office. 2.18.2 Before the City signs this Agreement, Contractor shall file with the Contract Compliance Officer for Drug Testing (“CCODT”): 2.18.2.1 a copy of its drug-free workplace policy; 2.18.2.2 the Drug Policy Compliance Agreement substantially in the form set forth in Exhibit “C”, together with a written designation of all safety impact positions; and 2.18.2.3 if applicable (e.g., no safety impact positions), the Certification of No Safety Impact Positions, substantially in the form set forth in Exhibit “D”. 2.18.3 If Contractor files a written designation of safety impact positions with its Drug Policy Compliance Agreement, it also shall file every 6 months during the performance of this Agreement or on completion of this Agreement if performance is less than 6 months, a Drug Policy Compliance Declaration in a form substantially similar to Exhibit “E”. Contractor shall submit the Drug Policy Compliance Declaration to the CCODT within 30 days of the expiration of each 6-month period of performance and within 30 days of completion of this Agreement. The first 6- month period begins to run on the date the City issues its Notice to Proceed or, if no Notice to Proceed is issued, on the first day Contractor begins work under this Agreement. 2.18.4 Contractor also shall file updated designations of safety impact positions with the CCODT if additional safety impact positions are added to Contractor’s employee work force. 2.18.5 Contractor shall require that its subcontractors comply with the Executive Order, and Contractor shall secure and maintain the required documents for City inspection.

  • DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING Employees may be tested for drugs and/or alcohol pursuant to the provisions of the Employer's Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy which is attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement as if more fully set forth herein.
