Employee leaving during notice period. An Employee whose employment is terminated on account of redundancy may terminate his or her employment during the period of notice by giving at least one week's notice in writing. In this case, the Employee is entitled to the same benefits and payments under this clause as if remaining with the School until the expiry of the notice period. The Employee is not entitled to payment in lieu of notice. If the Employee does not give at least one week's notice in writing then the School is entitled to withhold the equivalent of one week's salary which has been authorised by the employee and is reasonable in the circumstances.
