EMPLOYEE RIGHTS, SHOP XXXXXXX RESPONSIBILITIES, AND UNION BUSINESS. 15.1 The City and the Union agree that they will not discriminate against any employee by reason of race, color, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, political ideology, creed, religion, ancestry, or national origin; Union activities; or the presence of any sensory, mental or physical disability, unless based on a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the City. Disputes involving this section of this Article may be processed through an appropriate agency and/or the third step of the grievance procedure, but shall not be subject for arbitration. Use of the grievance procedure may precede the initiation of any other official action involving such a dispute.
