Employee Responsibilities. The Employer's policy with respect to employee responsibilities provides for employees:
Employee Responsibilities. 1. Employees are responsible for notifying their department of an absence prior to the commencement of their work shift or as soon thereafter as possible. Notification shall include the reason and possible duration of the absence.
2. Employees are responsible for keeping their department informed on a continuing basis of their condition and probable date of return to work.
3. Employees are responsible for obtaining advance approval from their supervisor for the scheduled time of pre-arranged personal or family medical and dental appointment.
4. Employees are encouraged to keep the department advised of (1) a current telephone number to which sick leave related inquiries may be directed, and (2) any condition(s) and/or restriction(s) that may reasonably be imposed regarding specific locations and/or persons the department may contact to verify the employee's sick leave.
Employee Responsibilities. Employees will contribute to a healthy workplace, including not knowingly exposing co-workers and the public to conditions that would jeopardize their health or the health of others. The Employer may direct employees to use leave in accordance with Article 23, Sick Leave, when employees self-report or the Employer receives a written report from a licensed medical practitioner or county health official that the employee has a contagious health condition. Employees are obligated to work in a safe manner, including but not limited to:
A. Observation of safe practices governing their work;
B. Use of proper safety devices and protective equipment as required by the Employer;
C. Proper care for state-issued personal protective equipment; and
X. Xxxxxx reporting to their immediate supervisor of any occupational injury or illness, regardless of the degree of severity.
Employee Responsibilities. Employees will normally average forty (40) hours per week in performing professional responsibilities. This includes off campus hours under the restriction in Section 7.13. The responsibilities of an Employee shall be as specified in this Agreement.
Employee Responsibilities. Each Employee is required to act with due care and regard for his own safety and that of his fellow Employees. All Employees shall comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety laws and regulations and industry standards. Employees shall not knowingly or negligently expose or subject themselves or others to unsafe working conditions.
Employee Responsibilities. It is in the interest of the organization, individual staff, and Board members to strengthen trust and confidence in each other, to expedite resolution of problems, to mitigate the effect and to minimize organizational and individual stress that can be caused by a conflict of interest. Employees are to avoid any conflict of interest, even the appearance of a conflict of interest. This organization serves the community as a whole rather than only serving a special interest group. The appearance of a conflict of interest can cause embarrassment to the organization and jeopardize the credibility of the organization. Any conflict of interest, potential conflict of interest, or the appearance of a conflict of interest is to be reported to your supervisor immediately. Employees are to maintain independence and objectivity with clients, the community, and organization. Employees are called to maintain a sense of fairness, civility, ethics and personal integrity even though law, regulation, or custom does not require them.
Employee Responsibilities. All employees shall have the following responsibilities:
(a) Employees shall teach conscientiously and competently the material assigned to them, in accordance with course outlines which maybe provided by their department.
(b) Employees shall work in co-operation with other employees, supervisors and course coordinators.
(c) Employees shall deal ethically and fairly with students, xxxxxx a free exchange of ideas, avoid discrimination, respect the principles of confidentiality in a manner consistent with their instructional role, and provide their students with information regarding their instructional and evaluation methods.
(d) Employees shall not normally miss, cancel or terminate scheduled instruction except in the case of sudden illness or emergency and even in such cases shall make every effort to have their supervisor and students notified. In other circumstances, subject to the approval of the supervisor, arrangements for re- scheduling or for a substitute must be made in advance of missing scheduled instruction. Instruction missed shall be rescheduled if possible with adequate notice to the students.
(e) Employees shall comply with established procedures and deadlines as may be necessary for the well-ordered operation of the University.
(f) Employees shall inform the students and department of the times when and/or the methods by which they will normally be available for consultation. The times and/or methods shall be such as are likely to be convenient for the students and adequate for the numbers of students involved.
Employee Responsibilities i. The request must state the dates required for the leave if known. If a drill schedule is available for a prolonged period of time, only one request is necessary. A copy of the drill schedule must be attached. Example: If drills are scheduled on the second weekend of each month, the request must state that beginning on (date), leave is requested each second weekend until (date).
ii. Employees are expected to give as much notice as possible to their supervisors so that proper duty coverage can be arranged. If less than one (1) week’s notice is given, employees may be asked to assist the Company by arranging to trade days and shifts or use their regular days off to the extent possible.
iii. The reservist or National Guard member does not need to have written training orders at the time of the request.
iv. After completing the military training or drill exercise, the reservist or National Guard member must report back to his regularly scheduled shift.
v. This leave will normally be unpaid, but with advance approval from the employee's supervisor, vacation time may be used or his schedule may be adjusted. Example: An employee’s schedule may be adjusted to accommodate his normal day(s) off with the scheduled assigned military day(s). (i.e.: Employee normally has Wednesday and Thursday off, he is assigned military duty on Saturday and Sunday, employee may work Wednesday and Thursday and take off Saturday and Sunday)
Employee Responsibilities. 1. As a condition of employment, employees shall:
a. not engage in the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of alcohol or drugs nor be under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the workplace or while on-call;
b. submit to an alcohol and drug analysis and remain on the premises when requested to do so by city management, acting pursuant to this policy, or by law enforcement personnel;
c. notify the city of any conviction under a criminal drug statute (including any pleas of nolo contendere), if such conviction was based on a violation which occurred in the workplace, no later than five days after such conviction; (notification under this subsection does not relieve an employee from the disciplinary consequences of the conduct upon which a criminal conviction is based); and
x. xxxxx by all terms of this policy.
2. Employees are required to notify their supervisors when taking any medication or drugs, prescription or non-prescription (over-the-counter medications), which interfere with safe or effective performance of their duties or operation of city equipment.
3. Off-duty involvement with any controlled substance including, but not limited to manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, use or any conviction under a criminal drug statute whose scope and employment are relevant to city employment may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination if there is relevant nexus between such off-duty involvement and the employee’s employment with the city, consistent with the legal requirements for disciplinary due process.
Employee Responsibilities. 3.6.1 The employee shall care for instructional materials and equipment and shall promptly report damage, loss, theft of equipment, furniture or fixtures to his/her supervisor.
3.6.2 It shall be the responsibility of the teacher to follow the prescribed courses of study and to enforce the rules and regulations of the school district, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the State Board of Education, maintaining and rendering the appropriate records and reports.
3.6.3 Teachers shall have the right, and it shall be their duty, to direct and control within reasonable limits the studies of their students, taking into consideration individual differences among students, provided, that all students shall receive instruction in such prescribed courses of study as are required by law and regulations.
3.6.4 Teachers shall be responsible for the evaluation of each student’s educational growth and development and for making periodic reports to parents or guardians and to the designated school administrator.
