Common use of EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL AND/OR PHYSICAL EXAMINATION Clause in Contracts

EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL AND/OR PHYSICAL EXAMINATION. a. Any employee in the competitive service may be required to take and pass a medical and/or physical examination whenever, in the judgment of the appointing authority, it would be in the best interest of the City to make such a requirement. Employees who, in the opinion of the medical examiner, are physically incapable of meeting the normal requirements of their positions may be assigned to a class for which they are suitable. All employment examinations shall be conducted at City expense.
