Medical Exams. Each officer will be required to take a medical exam if the Employer has a reasonable basis to question the ability of the employee to perform his/her regular duties. Failure to pass the exam may result, as determined by the Sheriff, in any or all of the following: A. Reassignment until the problem(s) is corrected. B. The Sheriff may require a medical leave of absence immediately if medical conditions warrant the same. The employee may use accumulated sick leave, vacation and comp time, however, if an employee is required to take a medical leave of absence. The employee may seek workers' compensation, if applicable. C. The Sheriff may terminate the employment of the employee if the problem is not corrected within one (1) year.

Medical Exams. The County may require an employee to undergo a medical exam, including drug screening, in order to determine the employee's fitness for duty, as well as to determine fitness for duty when returning to work from a leave of absence, including FMLA of 14 days or more. Medical Exams. 1. Subject to Section C.2 of this article, an employee who is subject to a Special Medical Examination to determine fitness for duty will, upon request of Occupational Medical Services or a health care provider conducting the exam, authorize the disclosure of medical information specifically and directly related to the current medical diagnosis, prognosis and any duty restrictions related to the diagnosis. Such disclosure will be made solely to Occupational Medical Services or to a health care provider conducting a special medical examination. 2. An employee may decline to authorize the disclosure of medical information specified in section C.1. when the employee reasonably believes that the special medical exam may lead to disclosure of information about psychological/psychiatric issues or substance abuse. In such case, the employee must request directly from OMS, an examination by a panel member in accordance with Section D. The employee must provide the medical information specified in section C.1. to the panel member. If, as a result of the examination, the panel member determines that a special medical examination may be conducted without disclosure of psychological/psychiatric or substance abuse information, the employee must authorize the disclosure of medical information specified in Section C.1. to OMS or to the health care provider conducting a special medial examination.
Medical Exams. The Board reserves the right to require an employee to be examined by a District-selected physician at District expense for health and/or safety reasons or other reasonable cause. The employee shall not lose pay for missing work time or be required to use available leave time for absences caused by the District requiring the employee to undergo such examination. The employee at his/her option may choose to provide to the District the results of a medical examination by his/her own selected physician, at his/her own expense. In the event that there is a dispute between the District’s physician and the employee’s physician, the employee shall be examined by a physician mutually selected by the District and Union, and if they cannot agree, then by a physician referred by Beaumont Hospital.
Medical Exams. In the event that the Ministry of Transportation requires a transport employee to undergo a medical examination, the Company will reimburse the employee for the full cost of such examination provided that: (a) The employee agrees to permit such examination to be conducted by a Company appointed physician; (b) In the event that the employee wishes to have such examination conducted by his family physician he may request approval in advance of such appointment from the Company for reimbursement. Should an employee unilaterally decide to undergo the medical examination by a physician of his/her choosing, he/she will be responsible for all costs associated with such examination.

Medical Exams. The SFMTA shall bear the entire cost of any physical examination to which an Operator is required to submit by requirements of the California Highway Patrol or of SFMTA, provided, however, that if the Operator agrees to the scheduled appointment and without prior notice which enables SFMTA, with no charge, to cancel the appointment or a reasonable excuse for an unavoidable failure, fails to keep his/her appointment, the cost of the missed examination shall be borne by the Operator.
Medical Exams. Any medical examination required by the Employer may be taken on Employer time and shall be paid by the Employer. The examination shall be administered by a physician or institution specified by the Employer.
