In filling vacancies for new positions, consideration will be given to members of the Union in good standing, with the understanding that the determination of whether or not a particular applicant shall be hired shall be based on reasonable standards of selection established by the Employer, and shall not in any way be affected by race, color, creed, national origin, or age.
