Environmental and Energy Conservation. Cuan will fulfil its statutory and other obligations in relation to environmental and energy conservation, including the following: - In accordance with requirements set out in the Public Sector Energy Efficiency Strategy 2017, Cuan has a designated EPO (Energy Performance Officer) at senior management level, who has primary responsibility for (inter alia) ensuring that Cuan meets the applicable statutory/Government-mandated targets on reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions, and for accurately reporting energy use to the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) on an annual basis. - Preparing a Climate Action Roadmap in accordance with the joint SEAI/Environmental Protection Agency guidelines. - Outlining progress on energy reduction in the Cuan’s annual report. - Participating in Justice sector and wider public sector initiatives on energy and environmental issues. - Having full regard to Department of Public Expenditure and Reform (D/PER) Circular 20/2019 on Promoting Environmental and Social Considerations in Public Procurement.

Environmental and Energy Conservation. The OSP’s energy consumption is incorporated within the overall consumption figures that the Department reports annually to the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland. The OSP participates in the Department of Justice’s Energy Performance Officers Network and will take appropriate steps to reduce energy consumption and to meet its wider environmental obligations. The OSP will continue to report on progress to the Department on these matters as and when required.

Upon being notified by PURCHASER of the presence of hazardous substance(s) on the areas of operations, STATE shall arrange for the proper disposition of such hazardous substance(s).
