Equipment Mechanic. Normal Duties Trouble-shoot, maintain, repair, modify, paint and overhaul equipment under the jurisdiction of the Company and operate such equipment as necessary to perform these functions. To assist on the ramp if required due to unusual circumstances.
Equipment Mechanic. An employee who performs at a journey level all types of skilled tool and vehicle maintenance and repair projects. Position will have appropriate certifications) from the American Welding Society and will perform a broad variety of general and skilled welding and metal fabrication practices for City Departments. Provides and assists City Departmental Supervisors and employees in maintaining preventative and ongoing vehicle fleet repairs and maintenance. May be required to drive and operate City vehicles/equipment and in order to do so, must possess appropriate valid California drivers licenses. Shall be required to perform job related Job Activity, repair orders and reports. The employee's background, experience and training shall be such as to qualify the employee to perform the duties with skill and efficiency.
